This is Part 11 of a series of articles on Restomod Project for CB1100RC
(with the serial number RCM-282) commissioned by the Dutch company
CMS!
フレームの補強も 順調に進み、リアショック取り付け部の 加工に 移ります
The frame reinforcement work is well underway to get to the treatment of
the rear shock absorber mount.
これは リアショックの 上側取り付け部に なる部品。
特殊なケースに おいて、時々 用いている物です
This part will be the upper mount of the rear shock absorber.
We use this for some special cases.
この部品に パイプを差し込んで フレーム側に あてがい、位置や形を
イメージして おきます・・
Insert the pipe into this part and place it on the frame to check on the
position and to get the picture.
そしておなじみ、レイダウン治具！・・
カワサキＺ系や スズキＧＳＸ系にと 造った物なんですが、実はＣＢにも 応用効きます
And then, my usual laydown jig! We made it originally for Kawasaki KZ’s and
Suzuki GSX’s. Actually, it can also be used for CB’s.
スイングアームピボットを 基準にした 構造の治具・・ フレームに 取り付けて行きます
This jig structured to match with the swing arm pivot…
let’s get to fix it on the frame.
リアショック取り付け部を 所定の位置に おき、外側から 専用治具で 固定します
Place the rear shock absorber mount at the proper position and fix it from
outside using the special jig.
この時、先ほど 差し込んでいたパイプを 繋いでおきます。
実は このパイプも、治具のひとつと 言う訳なんですね・・
Doing this job, you need to keep the pipe in place inserted just now because
it is part of the jig.
ＳＳ４００材の スチールプレートから、材料を 切り出して行きます
Cut the material from the SS400 steel plate.
溶接開始・・ いかに治具で 固定しているからと言っても、油断はしません。
溶接の手順にも コツがあり、そこを間違えると、わずかな歪みが 発生したりするので
ここは 加工作業者の経験値・・ 腕の見せ所！ ＲＣＭ－２８２ ＣＢ１１００ＲＣ
いよいよ 次回あたりで、フレームが 完成する予定です！ フレームと エンジンの
下準備が終れば、そこからは作業速度も 順次 上がって行くと言うもの！

Start welding… You have to keep a close eye on it even if it is fixed with the
jig. This welding job requires an expertise. If you happen to make a mistake
you may get small strains. It hinges on the expertise of the workers at the
workshop and in fact, it is one of where we can show off our talents and
skills! The frame work of the project CB1100RC (RCM-282) will be finished
up when I post the next article! Getting through the frame work and the
engine work, the project can pick up the pace! Hello, Mike (CMS in the
