Sanctuary) posting this article from the Head Office… This is Part 15 of a
series of articles on Restomod Project for CB1100RC (with the serial number
RCM-282) commissioned by the Dutch company CMS!
先日、きれいに 塗り上がったフレームが 届いたので、車体を 組み上げるべく、
リアスイングアームの 加工に 入ります。
Since the beautifully coated frame has arrived the other day, we will start
working on the rear swing arm so that we can assemble together the
machine.
この金型は、スイングアームを 補強する部材を、製作するもの・・
This mold is for producing the parts that would reinforce the swing arm…
材料となる アルミ A５０５２プレートに、軽く熱を 加えます
A little heat is applied to the material, an aluminum A5052 plate
材料の温度が 冷めない内に 金型に載せて、油圧プレスで 押して行きます
Place on the mold before the temperature of the material cools down, and
start applying pressure with oil hydraulic press
この様に、どんどん 変形させて行きます
Steadily change the shape like this
型から 抜き取れば、こんな感じ ♪ ・・
Take out of the mold, and now it looks like this ♪ ..
異なる径の 穴を、３ヵ所 開けます
Drill holes with differing diameters in three places
開けた穴に、専用の金型を 取り付けて 再び 油圧プレスで押し、穴の縁を捲ります
Fix a special purpose mold on the created holes and apply pressure again
with oil hydraulic press, to lift the edge of holes.
出来ました！ 穴を めくり上げる事で ねじれ強度を 強くする、バーリングです！
Done! This is a burring processing, which increases the torsion strength by
lifting the edge of the holes.
向かい合わせで 溶接し、中空のブラケット状に します
Weld together face to face, and make it into a hollow bracket shape.
出来上がった ブラケットに、U字形に 曲げ加工した アルミ角パイプを 差し込んで
スイングアームに 固定します
Insert an aluminum square pipe bending worked to U-shape into the bracket
thus created, and secure against the swing arm.
溶接開始！・・ 左右の均一精度を 見つつ 熱歪みしない様に 慎重に・・
美しく、かつ 剛性の高い補強に しますよっ！ オランダＣＭＳ社 Ｍｒ．Ｍｉｋｅさ～んっ！
次回から この ＲＣＭ－２８２の 車輌全体のシルエットが 見え始めて来ますんで、
